Last month, CU Realty and CU Mortgage hosted a second Home Expo. Home buyers and sellers from numerous owners/partners joined to learn more about the home buying and selling process. The Home Expo was set up with the intention to accommodate borrowers' busy schedules, allowing them to have their questions answered in a manner unique to them.
With vendors present such as an inspector, a home warranty company, and an insurance agent, attendees had the opportunity to meet one-on-one and obtain answers regarding their specific home buying/selling needs. Additionally, participating owner/partner loan officers were on site to address the mortgage loan concerns of their individual members/customers. Lastly, a home buying and selling presentation, put on by CU Realty and CU Mortgage, was offered to address the overall process.
President of Catholic United Credit Union, Terri Maloney, attended the Home Expo and enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the ins and outs of home buying and selling with a few of her members. “If anyone is in the market to buy or sell, the Home Expo is a must to attend. It was extremely informative and helpful,” said Maloney. “The staff is professional and knowledgeable about the real estate market, and is able to clearly communicate to their audience.”
The Home Expo is also a solution to CU Companies' owners and partners who lack time and resources to successfully provide educational seminars to their borrowers. In addition to coordinating the Home Expo, the CU Companies marketing department provided free marketing materials to help owners and partners communicate the event.
Due to the success, future expos are already scheduled for 2016. In the second Home Expo several participants were looking to sell their home in the near future; therefore, a Home Expo for Sellers is scheduled for February 3, 2016, and a Home Expo for Buyers scheduled for March 9, 2016.
More information will be sent in early December. Interested CU Companies owners/partners looking to participate will be able to order free marketing materials to assist in communicating the opportunity to their potential home buyers and sellers.
