On October 8, we were fortunate to participate in the second-ever CU Forward day, a day dedicated to service projects and volunteer opportunities that impacted more than 335,000 Minnesotans in need of a little help.
Organized by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, CU Forward day was a statewide event where 49 credit unions volunteered at local non-profits to make a positive impact on communities around the state.
Our team joined several Minnesota credit unions to pack food at Second Harvest Heartland, a non-profit helping lead the fight against hunger. Please check them out!
1 in 6 Americans do not have enough food to eat. That's close to 50 million people who aren't sure where their next meal will come from.
If you would like to help, please consider seeking out food shelves in your area and volunteer, donate food, or participate in events to support these wonderful organizations.
CU Foward day took place at Second Harvest Heartland in the Twin Cities.
