The mortgage process, filled with moving parts and plenty of chances for things to go wrong, too often leaves everyone involved stressed and unsure of themselves. What should be an experience marked by trust and confidence as a borrower gets closer to realizing the home ownership dream instead becomes an exercise in frustration. The ultimate goal – a successful purchase – may be reached, but only after navigating some rough waters.
At Servion Mortgage, we think the experience can be improved for everyone, from the loan officer to the real estate agent to the borrower. We’re already doing this in several ways that partners like you either have experienced already or will soon. In this newsletter, we wanted to highlight two specific things we provide that are designed to smooth the waters for you and your borrowers: our relationship management and our Verified Approval.
To foster the trust that should exist within the mortgage process, we have created a Relationship Manager role within Servion. After all, relationships are at the core of everything about home buying – the relationship between the borrower and the lender, between the borrower and the real estate agent, and so on.
Our Relationship Manager, previously known as a Home Buying Coordinator, streamlines the entire process. Working specifically with retail partners, the Relationship Manager serves as the borrower’s main point of contact on the front end, reducing the need for the borrower to communicate with multiple people.
A small sample of the many value-adding functions the Relationship Manager provides includes:
Our Relationship Manager is also a licensed mortgage loan officer with nearly 10 years of experience, so you know your borrower is the hands of someone who truly knows the business. Everything the Relationship Manager does is geared toward helping more people purchase homes, which in turn leads to more closed business.
Having that real human being, the Relationship Manager, available goes a long way toward calming the mortgage waters. If only the sometimes-problematic preapproval process could be shored up, things would be a lot better. That’s where a Servion Mortgage Verified Approval comes in.
Through our Verified Approval process, the borrower(s) are provided a verified approval letter after a thorough vetting process. This gives the borrower the strength of a cash offer. It’s all about empowering the borrower and minimizing the risks that something could fall through at the last second.
How does it work? There’s really no secret to it. We simply instill our Verified Approvals with added value because we look at everything that would eventually be needed in order to get a mortgage, but we do it at the application stage. In other words, we:
The result is a confidence-building approval that lets agents do what they do best, which is going out and finding properties that fit the client’s needs. It also makes a borrower’s offer more powerful, meaning sellers and selling agents know the approval really means something, making them more likely to accept the offer.
Taken together, the Relationship Manager and the Verified Approval process help loan officers, real estate agents, and everyone involved in home buying create lasting memories for the borrower. Not just lasting memories, but lasting positive memories.
We are committed to helping you, our partners, deliver top-notch mortgage experiences to every client. We will continue to evolve and make improvements to stay ahead of the curve against the backdrop of a fast-changing financial services landscape, all in an effort to help your institution grow and be even more successful.
You can contact our Relationship Manager, Matthew Bartlett, to talk more about his role and what Verified Approval means for you. Reach him by calling (651) 746-6420 or send an email to mbartlett@myservion.com.
